Wings Over the World October 18, 2008

A condor release event to benefit Ventana Wildlife Society.

Condor #251 is a seven and a half year old male hatched at the Los Angeles Zoo. He was released in Big Sur on December 12, 2002. He was captured last spring and held at our holding pen because he was interfering with a breeding pair in Big Sur. Now that the nesting season is coming to a close he can be re-released back into the wild.
