Help Us Conserve Native Wildlife and Their Habitats
Are you a young steward of the environment who wants to make an impact? Maybe you are a classroom teacher, parent, or community leader looking for ways to motivate youth and others. Below are examples of ways you can get involved to directly help us raise funds to support our mission. VWS thanks these extraordinary folks for their commitment to helping us conserve native wildlife and their habitats.

Host a Wildlife Party...Six-year old Sady Rivas asked her Endangered Animal Birthday Party guests to make donations to VWS in lieu of presents for her seventh birthday. Over $400 was donated!

Start a Club...Kyle Groves - 11 years old - is founder and head of the Endangered Animals Club at Laurel Wood Elementary School in Salinas. He and fellow club members made and sold bookmarks, raising over $150 for California condors.

Organize a Sale...Walnut Creek youngsters Miles and Michaela Carbaat created a lemonade stand and have raised over $1000 to date peddling refreshment along the Mount Diablo Bike Trail while also educating the public on California condors.

Hold a Fundraising Event...Students at the Discovery Charter School held a dance with proceeds benefiting VWS. The students were inspired after attending a field trip to our banding lab in Big Sur. Students raised $200 and had an exciting evening of dancing as well!
